From dancing the night away at ARQ nightclub with Shayarne’s little brother in tow, to quiet nights at home with their three doggo babies, Michael and Shayarne’s love story has been filled with laughter, adventure, and all the little moments in between.

Their early dates were spent hunting down the best burgers, bay runs and catching movies. Then soon turned into globe-trotting adventures, building their first home, and sharing everyday joys over phone calls between work.

Michael’s unforgettable proposal in Nelson Bay—Shayarne’s favourite place and their first holiday spot was as thoughtful and romantic as their entire journey together, complete with a sunset, a custom playlist and the sweetest surprise. While Shayarne was distracted taking photos of the sunset Michael dropped down on one knee and asked, “Will this make the picture perfect?” Through happy tears Shayarne said the easiest yes of her life!

With hearts full of love and belly laughs, they’re ready to keep doing life side by side, exactly the way they’ve always loved it: full of laughter, love, and each other.
